Temperature-What is your Business Temperature?

Any knowledge that doesn’t lead to new questions quickly dies out: it fails to maintain the temperature required for sustaining life.
Wislawa Szymborska

Knowledge is a golden ticket to moving forward. It must lead to questions that sustain the life of a business. What is your temperature today? Business can run hot or cold and we must know what to do in any extreme.

When business runs cold what action do you take? Will you let it die? I believe it is a time to regroup, restructure and rebuild. Regroup take a look at the concepts again and what the business offers.  Increase you understanding on new features of the business. Develop a strong marketable slogan this is an old word but very useful.

Establish a method that will prove your businesses credibility. I know experience marketers may not agree with some of your ideas, but could you consider that when the business is dying people need to see your creative efforts to sustain the business.

Some of us are marketing so many businesses it is difficult to see where your passion lies.  I commend you I could not stretch myself in so many directions. I believe for me one of those businesses will be neglected. The temperature would lean on the cold side.

Now, hot business develop a life of its own how are some independent business growing so rapidly? Great question one of the things I’ve notice, sharing your link with others, giving people a chance to see what you are offering, videos, keeping your business on the internet though blogs, identifying with established marketers who have longevity,  and knowledge.

A few suggestions that have helped me:

  1. I don’t know if this is for you but take a look and get back with me
  2.  Assessing the need of the potential prospect
  3. Listening attentively
  4. Showing interest in what the potential prospect is saying
  5. Acknowledge shared difficulties in their lives
  6. Limit talking all about you (they’ve read your about me page)
  7. Prior to ending the conversation asked them have I addressed your questions today
  8. And if they join don’t let them run cold stick with them until they begin to run hot and their business takes on a life of its on. Dying is not an option you must help sustain life because if their business dies yours is at risk to die as well
