Discovery Cards-Discovering things we can’t do

Sometimes it is more important to discover what we cannot do, than what we can do-Lin Yutang

Discovery Cards, which one have you turned over today. Imagine a new task, one you have not performed before, you discover the challenge.  Your mission is to develop a new product; you lean back in your chair and ponder in your mind how to complete the mission. Thoughts begin to race quickly in your mind.  I have no knowledge on this subject, it looks very difficult, perhaps I had better choose another mission there is no way this can be done. You pick up the phone call a friend there is no answer.  As you leave a message a discovery clicks on in your brain and you begin working vigorously to complete the mission.

You’ve just stepped out of the twilight zone in to an interest zone.  The interest zone causes you to engage in something new. The brain begins to twist and turn throwing out fast ideas.  These ideas are coming so fast they must be written down.  Margaret Fontey suggests “The one important thing I have learned over the years is the difference between taking one’s work seriously and taking one’s self seriously.  The first is imperative, and the second is disastrous” (p.345). Going into the interest zone you’ll find exciting new ideas that will help you develop and grow.  The discovery comes in the interest zone.  Trying new methods and strategies keeps your business alive, and thriving.

I spoke with a prospect earlier in the week, Jewelry is the prospects business. After our talk the prospect discovered the concept of conversion. This simple concept is not unknown to MLM networkers.  Internet marketers are discovering new ways to market their products and services every day.  I use it in my primary business. When my potential prospect does not raise their hands, I offer a free gift, a gift they can use too.  I’ve discovered that network marketing is jumping into an interest zone.  There are many ideas, tools and methods to learn. Why build only on what you know? Discover what is unknown and explore something new. This will keep your business out front. I like to leave you with this quote from Frank Lloyd Wright, “I know the price of success: dedication, hard work and an unremitting devotion to the things you want to see happen” (p.434).

The Cats in the cradle-The cat’s eye

I love this song by Harry Chaplin.  His lyrics touch the heart of many fathers.  Taking time out with family is just what a home based business will afford you.  Finding the time to spend time with family is so important.  The cats in the cradle with a silver spoon they had everything they needed because this dad provided and made provisions.  The sadness came when dad did not have time for his son and then as his son became a man his life changed as well limiting his interaction with dad.

Home based business will reduces the stress of not spending time with family.  The advantages of a home base business include regulating your time.  Organizing your day where it will not interfere with family.  The family needs will be met.  You’re able to develop your own work hours.  Balancing acts will disappear and your time clock is the one you develop. Home based businesses are amazing and can be very lucrative.

Procrastination deals with putting off or delaying priority.  Business owners are not to delay important webinars, calls, or getting back with affiliates who need the help.  There are some things in home based businesses that require our immediate attention.  “Everyone procrastinates sometimes, but 20 percent of people chronically avoid difficulty tasks to avoid taking care of the immediate, and deliberately look for distractions” (Psychologytoday.com).

“The most impressive people I know are procrastinators.  So could it be that procrastination isn’t always bad?” (Graham, 2005).

Graham believes that there are three forms of procrastination:

  1. Nothing
  2. Something
  3. More important

On review of Grahams’ information the more important is considered a good procrastination variant.  Graham believes that putting off small things and working on more important things is still considered procrastination.

Graham offers interesting concepts and in my review he suggests that to procrastinate is both good and bad.  The best decision made is when you priorities your work which leaves the other task dormant until tackled.

To get started in a home based business whether you procrastinate or note you will have to begin by completing the join form and logging into your member area and it may not be the best decision to procrastinate on learning how to access, and utilize your new business tools.

Set up your home business today don’t procrastinate, prioritize your time so the family will not suffer.  Focus on the future and share your procession so the family will see the benefits.

Life Quotes-Just when you thought throwing in towel was the answer

Life Quotes-Just when you though the Towel was the answer

“There is more to life than increasing its speed.” Mahatma Gandhi

Speed in Kinematics demonstrates an object as being the magnitude of its velocity the rate of change of its position (Wikipedia.org). The speed of life can cause some of us to throw in the white town indicating we are done.  Like football and basketballs there is a flag or towel waiting to be throw in when things look unfair.

The towel we throw could mean time out, unfair, and/or I have a question.  Depending on the color you throw others will respond. Tossing a towel of disappointment is appropriate when you are taken advantage of. But even then that towel will be retrieved from someone who will throw it back.  Life can become so challenging that many towels will be throw at the same time. I would prefer if a towel is thrown that it comes with an explanation.

Technology, wow what a fast lane.  The escalator going up and down, if you move slowly you will be left behind. The escalator has the potential to move you from level to level. Now the chose belongs to you. Standing at the bottom will never get you to the top. You and the towel you carry will wave good bye to those passing.

There is more to life then increasing speed. It includes family, friends, fun, and excitement. Some of us can be so boring and negative. Building strong relationships is the key to life.  The family fun decreases if cohesive relationships are not built.  Friends will disappear if you don’t connect frequently, and fun just picked its’ towels up and walked away.

Excitement about life is important. Waking up joyous slows down the speed of everything. Life is like a box of chocolates you never know what you gonna get (Forest Gump).

Life is like a box of chocolates, various flavors, colors, textures and each brings a unique flavor to life. The key to life is pick one of the chocolates and enjoy every moment. Explore life and make the exploration exciting and filled with joy. Oh I know there will be dark times, sadness comes to visit but make it a temporary visit, and expect it to leave soon. Allowing sadness to set up shop in our homes gives permission for darkness to recreate our living quarters.

Life quotes

“The feeble tremble before opinion, the foolish defy it, the wise judge it, the skillful direct it,” Jeanne Roland

“Behold the turtle. He makes progress only when he sticks his neck out.” James Conant

Stay connected to life adoring every moment. Make a difference today and choose life.
