Eye-The eye that is out of focus

Hi, Carolyn Coleman-Grady here. Daily challenges cloud our focus and causes confusion, and frustration.  Many of us have lost focus on what is important.   I thought Mark Twain stated it well.  You can’t depend on your eyes when your imagination is out of focus.

What does that mean to you?   I believe when the imagination is cloudy and fogged up we hit bricks and walls leaving us senseless.  When a puff of smoke is blown in your face do you blow it out of the way? Or bathe in its surrounding.  Is it an overcast day for you?  When there is clouds and fog we don’t see well some of us turn on the fog lights which brightens up our pathway.  Others travel day by day wondering in clouds that vaporizes their vision.

Imagine an aquarium of beautiful exotic fish, salt water fish but they live in a tank full of cloudy water, algae everywhere.  Who will enjoy them? No one will enjoy them until you clean up the tank.  To clean the tank you purify, treat and clear the way for a fresh new look.    Once the water is clear, clean and bright you focus on the beauty of the tank.  Fog is defined as a condensed water vapor in cloudlike masses lying close to the ground and limiting visibility. Limiting visibility comes from a variety of attitudes, behaviors and perceptions.  Attitudes can limit our eyes from imagining.  There are those who insist on doing business their way.  I’m sure you’ve heard wonderful people say “no I want do it this way, it don’t work your way.”  There is something to say about the quote, “there is more than one way to skin a cat.”  Be open to new ideas wake up your imagination to possibilities.  Let your eyes see beyond the clouds and fog that has surrounded you.  If Thomas Jefferson did not see himself as President he would not have been,  If Michael Jordon believed what he was told, “you are not a good  basketball player,”  If I had listen to my LVN instructor I would not have become a Registered Nurse.  The list could go on.  We must see with open clear defining eyes recognizing our own potential say hello to clarity, and goodbye to the clouds which dim your vision.
